Who it’s for

Made for women who spend hours in the saddle

Rider in her fifties schooling dressage in sitting trot

You school dressage four to six days a week.

The pad is widest under your seat bones, where the sitting trot lands.

Riding instructor leading the next saddled horse down the stable aisle

You ride three to eight horses a day.

One pair moves with you from horse to horse and saddle to saddle.

Rider on a forest trail in a western saddle

You spend two to five hours on the trail.

The padding can’t slip off the saddle, because it isn’t on the saddle.

Woman adjusting a stirrup on a saddle in a tack room

You came back to riding after a break.

Your body changed. Your saddle didn’t. The pad adds a layer where you sit.

HOW IT WORKS

Padded where a rider sits.

In the saddle, your weight goes onto two seat bones. A cyclist leans forward onto the front. That's why cycling pads are thick in front, and the Riderie pad is thick at the back.

Rider sitting upright: the pelvis is level and her weight goes down onto the seat bones, where the Riderie pad is thickest. Seat bones

Sitting

Your weight goes onto two seat bones. That’s where the Riderie pad is thickest.

Rider in two-point: she leans forward with her seat lifted off the saddle, and her weight goes down through her legs into the stirrups. Stirrups

Jumping · galloping · cross-country

Two-point

You lean forward and lift your seat. Your weight goes down through your legs into the stirrups, not onto the front of the saddle.

Cyclist leaning forward on a road bike: she stays seated, her pelvis tips forward and her weight moves onto the front of the saddle, where a cycling pad is thickest. Front ofthe saddle

Road bike · hands on the drops

Cycling

The cyclist leans forward and stays seated. The pelvis tips forward and the weight moves to the front, so cycling pads are thick in front.

Sarah M. · Dressage · 5 rides a week

Finally padding that actually sits under my seat bones instead of in the front. I can sit the whole medium trot and still feel my horse. This is what I’ve been looking for.

Jennifer L. · Dressage · 4 rides a week

I’ve tried bike shorts and other padded underwear. Everything padded the front. These put the foam where I actually sit. Huge difference in the sitting trot. Slightly snugger than expected.

★★★★★

Carol W. · Dressage · 5 rides a week

I’m 62 and my seat bones have gotten more sensitive. These let me keep riding five days a week. The thin front means I haven’t lost the feel of my horse.

Megan T. · Dressage · 6+ rides a week

I ride six horses a day. Horse number six gets the same seat as horse number one. Bought the 5-pack. Worth it.

Lisa K. · Dressage · 4–5 rides a week

Seat savers aren’t allowed in the ring. My underwear is. I school and show in the same pair. No more changing my setup on show day. Took one ride to get used to the fit.

FAQ

Questions riders ask

Still unsure? Write to us.

Will I lose my feel of the horse?

The thick part sits under your seat bones. The front is short and thin, so the front of your seat stays close to the saddle.

Will it look like a diaper?

No bulk at the front: it’s short and thin. See it on riders walking in white breeches above.

Will it show under white breeches?

Choose Nude. The photos above were taken in white breeches, from the back and the side.

How is it different from padded cycling shorts?

Cycling pads are made for a rider leaning forward on a narrow saddle, so they’re long and padded in front. This pad is wide at the back and short in front, for an upright seat.

I jump. Is it for me?

In two-point your seat is out of the saddle, so there’s no weight on the pad, and the front is thin. Every time you sit, on the flat, between fences or on the trail, the padding is under your seat bones.

Can I wear it in a dressage test?

It’s underwear, worn under your breeches. What USEF prohibits in the test is seat covers on the saddle (DR 121).

Does the pad reach my tailbone area?

Yes. The back of the pad reaches past your seat bones, toward your tailbone.

Is it hot in summer?

The pad covers only the seat area. The rest is smooth stretch microfiber.

Does it work in a western saddle?

Yes. The padding is on you, not on the saddle, so it works in any saddle.

What size am I?

Measure the fullest part of your hips and check the size guide. Between two sizes, choose the larger one.

How many pairs do I need?

One per ride between washes. The 3-pack covers 3–4 rides a week.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, inside out. Air dry.
